Omega Men - The Omega Problem

An anomaly, identified as Omega Men, has been identifed within The Monolith. Sprites, following the Omega-24 pandemic, appear to have acquired abilities. Further investigation is required to determine the root cause.

Sheriff Brayson is captured in a close-up, speaking into a walkie-talkie with a determined look on his face. His stance and the firm way he holds the device radiate authority and a sense of command. He is set on halting the bus at all costs.

OFFICER LINN (RADIO): Sir. They breached the gate.
SHERIFF BRAYSON: Begin lockdown procedures. Bring Pegasus online and target that bus!

Panel 2:
A mysterious hexagonal-shaped object begins to ascend off to the side of the road, ahead of the bus. The word Pegasus can be partially seen.

OFFICER LINN (RADIO): Sir! We've never-

Panel 3:
Pegasus continues to rise. Its logo is prominently displayed across the top of the weapon, adding to the sense of impending danger.

SHERIFF BRAYSON (RADIO): Officer Linn! No one is leaving!

Panel 4:
Close-up of Firebrand, who is looking out the front window of the bus. His expression is one of concern and curiosity as he tries to make out what the rising object means for them.

FIREBRAND: Eric!
KESTREL (OFF): I see it!
FIREBRAND: Is that..?

Panel 5:
The camera angle shifts to show a portion of Pegasus's cannon arm, which is rotating to aim at the bus. The atmosphere is charged with anticipation as the weapon prepares to lock on.

OFFICER LINN (RADIO): Sir! The #4 Pegasus cannon is ready. The others are coming online.
SHERIFF BRAYSON (RADIO): Good!

Panel 6:
The perspective shifts to an exterior view of the bus, with Pegasus's targeting system locked onto it in the distance. Kestrel's voice emanates from within the bus, heightening the sense of imminent danger.

KESTREL: Crowlia!
KESTREL: Stop the bus!
CROWLIA (TELEPATHY): I can't. The brakes aren't responding!
